Session description

The session will be held from 21 to 25 September 2009 at Wolfgang Pauli Institute (WPI), Vienna.

The main idea behind this session is to bring together the specialists from various fields who are interested in numerical simulation of fluid flows. The schedule is going to be flexible to allow for informal discussions and working in small groups. This meeting is not reserved only to applied mathematicians. Physicists, mechanicians and modelers are also welcome.

This session makes part of the thematic program 2009 "Complexity features in fluid flows (COMPLEXFLUID-09)" managed by D. Bresch, C. Bardos and A. Colin.

Scientific themes

    - Two-phase & two-fluid flows
    - Water waves & free surface flows
    - Finite volumes & finite elements
    - Spectral methods
