Abstract
In this second part of the paper, we focus on the geometric discretization of the Boussinesq-type systems. We propose a multi-symplectic scheme for the Boussinesq equation, which is derived from the multi-symplectic formulation of the system. The scheme is shown to preserve the multi-symplectic conservation law. Numerical experiments are performed to illustrate the properties of the proposed scheme. We also discuss the extension of the scheme to other Boussinesq-type systems.
